@stefano @ben Absolutely. Without it I'd ditch the fediverse for my own sanity as I did with all other "social" media. It is refreshing and has the vibes of forums before the gatekeeping got out of hand.

@pepdmin @stefano I'm sure they'd gatekeep the Fediverse if they could 😄 but we self-hosters can't be stopped

@ben @stefano haha, true. I mean there's nothing daunting about interacting wtih your favorite strangers online after going the lengths to selfhost your platform. 😅

@pepdmin@fedi.local.hasel.cloud “your favourite strangers”. I love this sentence.

@stefano the bigger my timeline became, the less interest I had In having a look at my account. I should use lists or limit subscriptions too.

@EnigmaRotor@bsd.cafe @stefano@rpi0w.stefanomarinelli.it true. I’ve used lists for a long time. It’s the only way to keep track of the timeline, if you start following a lot of interesting people

@stefano I left #twitter in nov 22 when I had about 600 followers. Now, here, I am at 100+. In other words I know what it's like. (I like it too :)
