@Holocene@techtoots.com yes, totally headless. I installed the appropriate image and used a serial console, then ssh only.

@meowki@meowstodon.eu sure, there will be plenty of documentation

@ellie@ellieayla.net You can have more information here: https://littleone.littlefedi.social/@stefano/01a03902-2819-763e-bdb7-5ad6edf98dac#status-01a03902-2819-763e-bdb7-5ad6edf98dac

In short, it should be released after EuroBSDCon, so more or less after the 15th of September.

Replying to @d1@autistics.life

@d1@autistics.life you don't need a Raspberry PI for this. You can use it, but any platform is supported.

@Brad_Rosenheim@climatejustice.social memory is mostly used to process data and caches. You can disable caches (but the performance will be worse, especially if using low power devices) and reduce memory use. Also, being in Go, it has a higher memory footprint than, for example, the great snac2

@Zahadoom@noauthority.social unfortunately not, esp32 isn't capable (enough) for littleFedi

@sillydan@mastodon.world oh, that will be more than enough!

@failedLyndonLaRouchite@mas.to hardware doesn't need to totally depend on big tech. Moreover, once you buy it, you can use it, unless it's capped by software.
My Raspberry PI Zero W (but any device I have) is mine. Installing my own software means I can own my data and communicate with others.

@catflyhigh@troet.cafe yes, the media files can be put on s3 buckets

@danmcd@hostux.social Tested - it works beautifully on #illumos

@twipped@twipped.social but this will probably delete your own toots, not the ones coming from the other instances (Mastodon does that, by default)

@twipped@twipped.social oh, that's strange. Did you subscribe to a relay?
Also, littleFedi (like snac) allows to delete remote posts after x days - 30 days here - so older posts are removed from the database. If needed, they'll be re-fetched.

@miiko@social.darxxide.eu if you want to test it, I can create an invite code for you in the #littleOne instance

@twipped@twipped.social are you also considering the media files?
