@sirpondo@snowfan.it Le piccole istanze sono quelle che continuano a mantenere la garanzia di decentralizzazione. Per ogni grande istanza c'è un rischio di "monopolio", centralizzazione o, peggio, deriva.
La posta elettronica ne è un esempio: ha smesso di funzionare efficacemente quando i grossi player hanno monopolizzato quel mondo e convinto tutti che se hai il tuo mail server, "avrai problemi di invio e ricezione" - quando, in realtà, la colpa è tutta loro.
@hnygd@mastodon.africa I’ve noticed it, too. They often use legit accounts’ bio texts so they look legit but they clearly aren’t. I can’t exclude that, especially in the first days of this wave, I could have approved one or more of those accounts

This has been tested by creating some local instances into FreeBSD jails and making them a federation. Mastodon, snac, gotosocial that were only federating one another and with littleFedi. Some bugs came out, some others are still here. It’s not ready, yet, but not that far
