hmm although i've already got my own profile website, this is my incognito account and linking to the site reveals my identity (i rather hate someone to link my true identity to this one though), but i reckon there's many who wanna know more about me beyond the masto's tiny and easily-become-long-n-chaos bio section as i'm one of them, i reckon i should make a tiny page somewhere, borrwoing or renting someone's namespace..
i wonder what i can do with it to prevent cheeky slop bots from sniffing my supreme human made web page, considering you can only serve static files via the system
how far can i go only with js as something to (a bit) dynamically interact with the page (and you)
oh is #neocities in the us?
then i should perhaps avoid it.. any country should be more or less the same but there should be a better choice even among the bad
although i've already been on codeberg i reckon making another acc just for this and using codeberg pages to serve it might be good
so i'm actually ordering yet another ovh vps.. and i always hate this moment cuz i gotta select where my server should be located and it's quite political, i'm mandated to verify the available countries' status like whether it can go to the right.. and lately the choice is getting narrower n narrower
so searching for a fedi microblogging backend or suite, almost compromising (rude) to mastodon (accurately, glitch) or pleroma, i almost fatefully got to know about #snac
while i still need further research or actually play around with it, it seems to have passed a lot of my requirements
:
+ lightweight
+ mature
+ still growing
+ multiuser
+ masto compat
+ repo on codeberg
+ author uses it
+ written in C (which i wanna learn)
+ #noai π―
you can't know how i'm excited now..
@stefano didn't know about the project! and your blog post about it taught me a lot, i'll use a tiny vps similar to yours to host my snac, so i was wondering how much (or little) it'd eat resources. actually it relieved me a lot and surpised me as well, so many instances and accounts are running on the single vps
!
@f0bb1d04@mastodon.social @@stefano@rpi0w.stefanomarinelli.it yes, snac is light and efficient. Iβm also amazed that a VPS can hold so many cities and countries!
