@stefano I also had the problems back in mastoblaster around the notification tab, with modal message box displayed. Looks like it had self corrected when the main tab had the time to fetch the whole timeline. My idea is : When app starts upon clicking a iOS notification of a message from you, AND when the timeline is not yet uptodate (several weeks in my case because I rarely look at mastodon these times) I think it produces the bug. Maybe the notification tab needs to get something from a list populated by the main timeline view (speculating, try to make hypothesis).
